Micah 1 The people will follow their leaders, for good or bad.

Read Micah 1

The people of Israel were separated into two kingdoms, the northern being Israel and the southern Judah. The capitals of each being Samaria and Jerusalem. Micah was a prophet and preacher in both cities, bringing the judgment of God for the rampant idolatry in these capitals. As the leaders of the two nations fell farther and farther from God, the people followed. That concept still hasn't changed, political and social leaders will sett the agenda for any nation. The current state of this world can be attributed to such behavior. The social and political leaders by and large have no regard for God, they're interested in physical pleasures and entertainment. Just as a judgment was pronounced on Samaria and Jerusalem for their idolatry, the same God will judge all cities and peoples for their idolatry.
