Haggai 2a The restored glory of the temple

Read Haggai 2:1-9

God asks the question, who remembers the temple before it was destroyed? I believe that he asks that same question every other generation. Today we can ask, who remembers the strong church, the church spoken of in histories of spiritual awakenings and healings sweeping across the globe?

I've read stories, listened to some tapes, even seen some videos of meetings and, for lack of a better term, revivals. The Holy Spirit moved, people were drawn to God, morality was lifted up. Then as has happened through history people left God, morality declined, the church forgot what it was about.

Just as the priests in the old temple began to look at their position as a career, a means to a steady paycheck, the same has happened in the church today.

But God says to remember what it was like, when priests and teachers spoke the Word in faith. Totally trusting in God and not the congregation to provide for their means.

I believe a day will come when the Holy Spirit again will sweep across the globe and stir the hearts of men to repentance and faith. I pray that it happen today!

Today's workout.  Step up, squat, grapevine, Y, lunge r, triceps press, lunge l, hamstring curl, jump rope.
