“always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you”. Think for a moment who is writing these words, it's Peter, the same man that on the day that Jesus was betrayed denied knowing Him. He would know what it means to lose and regain that hope. It's not based on what men can do, it's based on the resurrection power of God. Perhaps Peter didn't understand this before the crucifixion but we have the knowledge today. Christ died, laid in a grave for three days and came back to life. The promise to me is that if I believe and trust in Him I too can rise from death. Other religions may make similar claims but can they prove it like He did?
