January 26, Deuteronomy 28

January 26, Deuteronomy 28

Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience, and there are some prophecies.  We want to carry this promise over in our lives, believing that if we are obedient then things will go well.  Life is typically better when we strive to obey but this promise is to a nation and not an individual.  Each of us can find times when we're doing the best that we can and life still stinks.  Unfortunately we're influenced by our environment and that may not be good. Today I can't think of a modern nation that's obedient and receiving any great blessings.  And there is a prophecy that Israel and their king will be taken to a strange nation and serve strange gods.  There were several times this happened, the most noted would be the Babylonian captivity.
Any nation that neglects the commands of God is subject to the same fates.

Today's workout.  No equipment cardio. High knees, step over, windmills, squat, jacks, lunge.  Do 36 intervals.
