1 Samuel 10:14-27
The
conversation between Saul and his uncle could be taken different
ways, Maybe he's just being humble and doesn't want to share what
Samuel told him. Maybe he still doesn't believe. I do find it odd.
But there is one very important verse that we don't want to miss,
it's verse 19; But today you have rejected your God, who saves you
from all your calamities and your distresses, and you have said to
him, ‘Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves
before the Lord by your tribes and by your thousands. The people had
hardened their hearts so much that they couldn't hear the warning in
this. Sometimes I think we need some prophets to go into modern
churches and say this same thing. You have rejected your God to
serve your greed and passions, teaching falsehoods.
