March 15, 1 Samuel 16:1-13

March 15, 1 Samuel 16:1-13

Here's a familiar story of how Samuel anoints David to be king.  He at first fears to confront Saul, they aren't an the best of terms now.  But the main focus is how each of Jesse's sons looked so much like a candidate for king.  Contrast that to the current presidential election where none of the candidates look like a king.  And we know from the story that God could see David's heart.  I look at the two kings as God's example to us.  The first was the people's choice and the second was God's choice.  In the future the people get to make their own choices again but they've seen the difference.  The people keep making the wrong choices though.

Today's workout. cardio 30 intervals. High knees, jump rope, windmills, climbers, lunges.
