March 30, 1 Samuel 19:1-17
If ever there were a case to be made for a bi-polar character I think Saul fits the bill, one minute he loves David and the next tries to kill him. But I also wonder about court intrigue, were there possibly people in Saul's court that wanted David dead? Maybe whispering in the king's ear. It's disturbing that the king can order people to go out and kill and they simply do it, yet that still happens today. And then the lie that Michal tells, claiming that she helped David because he threatened to kill her. Was even she afraid of her father? There is no need for scripted 'reality' TV, every situation you can think of is recorded in the word of God.
