March 6, 1 Samuel 14:1-15

March 6, 1 Samuel 14:1-15

We see now a contrast between Saul and his son Jonathan. Saul is hiding in the caves and Jonathan is being bold for God. Saul is king and he doesn't get it yet that all power and authority comes from God. Jonathan however understands that it's all up to God. I love what he says in verse 6; “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.” What a great level of faith, and perhaps some foolishness too. He exposed himself to his enemy, which could have gotten him killed but instead God delivered the enemy to Jonathan's hands. Never forget that you plus God are an overwhelming majority.
