May 19, II Samuel 11:6-27

May 19, II Samuel 11:6-27

Once again we see the plots and intrigue here in scripture can rival any reality TV show.  David first concocts a pretty good scheme, if he can get Uriah to sleep with Bathsheba then all is good, people will simply believe the child is his and no-one needs to know any different.  But people already know, there were servants who had to know about the affair, people that Bathsheba may have told.  A secret is only a secret when 1 person knows it.  Failing the initial plan David takes drastic action.  Doesn't Joab suspect something?   It is the nature of sin, we become a slave to it and try to hide it which makes things worse but eventually it will come out.

Today's workout.  Chest shoulders intervals.
