June 11, II Samuel 23
It says these are David's last words, perhaps the meaning is last words of advice, he begins the chapter with some wisdom, men should live according to God, pretty basic really. The second part is almost like a eulogy, recounting David's glory days and the men who fought with him. David did a lot of stuff in his life, some of these stories and names won't mean much to us gentiles but there is a heritage in the names and they are important to some people. Something significant in each case, one or two people performed what would be miraculous deeds by the power of God. At any time one person through God can perform miraculous deeds.
