July 30, I Kings 15:1-8

July 30, I Kings 15:1-8

Most politicians and a lot of people in general want to do something in their lives to be remembered through history.  The fact is that history really doesn't care much, it's a long time and our lives are just a speck on the page but it would be nice that if by chance history does say something about you it's better than this.  Abijam walked in the sins of his father, he warred constantly with his brothers in Israel and he died.  The world may not remember the things we do but God will, do what's right, show mercy to those who offend you and know that God is sovereign in ALL things and He will remember you.  To me that's more important than a footnote in history.
