November 27, Luke 9:7-20 Who is this Jesus?
I don't have any specific thoughts on the first section today, Herod was curios but not enough, and the story of Jesus feeding the multitudes is fairly common. My focus today is on the question Jesus asks his disciples. "Who do you say that I am"? That's the most important question that anyone can ask, Peter got it right. Interesting that some religions today look at Jesus as a prophet just as some of the disciples did. Jesus has several names in scripture, Emmanuel meaning God with us, the Greek philosophers believed in The Word holding all things together and He is called The Word. He's also called the son of man and the son of God. So the question is, who do you say that Jesus is?
