November 6, Luke 3:1-9 John begins preaching

John the Baptist was a sight to see, a man who lived his life in the wild. He was hairy and wore a leather girdle. The same symbols associated with Elijah and that coincidence was not lost on the people. There wasn't much in the way of entertainment so John could draw some crowds. His message was one of repentance and the coming grace of God. And a warning to the people of personal accountability, they cannot rely simply on being children of Abraham.
