January 1, Luke 21:10-38 We fight and break stuff, it's what we do
Jesus speaks of the future, it's usually interpreted of the end times just before His return but it really speaks of humanity's future in general. Through history there have always been wars, natural disasters, wanton random destruction. I remember living in Germany and went to see places ancient that were built by the Roman empire which had scars from battles over 2000 years ago. We also saw buildings with scars of World War II. And more frightening we toured a concentration camp. People tend to look at the condition of the world and read into it that these are the last days before Jesus return. I look at it and feel sorrow that mankind still hasn't received the message of love.
