We'll finish up the gospel according to Luke today with some thoughts on the road to Emmaus. Have you ever considered why this is included, what the significance is? Two of Jesus' disciples are walking and they're talking about Him. Then suddenly He comes, they're not aware that Jesus is with them. I think that's an example of how we should share the gospel. Just talk about Jesus with our friends, He will be there too and the conversation will draw others, or at least plant seeds. Being an evangelist isn't necessarily preaching from a pulpit or street corner, it's sharing the message of a life with hope in the only one who can really bring hope. That's why this section is here, sharing the good news is a simple as talking with a friend.
I hope that you've enjoyed our trip through Luke and maybe we all learned something new. Tomorrow begins a study through Ezra and Nehemiah.
