February 12, Nehemiah 12 Come and let's celebrate what God has done
I am reminded of the verse that I was glad when they said come to the house of The Lord. The city of Jerusalem is finished and there is to be a grand celebration. Invitations are sent out through the area but especially to the Levites because it was their responsibility to conduct service. Jerusalem wasn't that big, as I've posted before about half the size of New York's Central Park. We have choirs in all quadrants singing praises, a huge party going on to celebrate the achievement. We should celebrate achievements and specifically when the odds say it's impossible but God makes it happen. It would be nice today to recapture that attitude, that everything we accomplish is because of God's grace. History shows us that man has gone from a time of worship and prosperity, through apostasy and poverty to then realize the errors and return to worship. I'm ready to return to worship. Come and let's celebrate what God has done!
