April 19, Isaiah 37:1-13 Seek God first but make Him My God and not your God

Hezekiah does the right thing, he goes tot he temple to pray and sends for the prophet. But the servants when they reach the prophet say YOUR GOD. I think that's a significant point. God wants for everyone to call Him MY GOD. That was the whole purpose of Him coming as the man Jesus. So that we could know Him and call Him ours. FOR the sake of Hezekiah, for Judah, and because these men have mocked The one true God, He will deliver them. And again at the end of this reading the leader of this army challenges God, comparing Him to the false gods and idols of other lands. If you do't call Him My god, fix that today. It doesn't take special words, just tell Him that you know you've failed, that you can't do it alone and that you need Him. He'll come and take care of the rest.
