May 12, Isaiah 59 The nature of man doesn't change

Isaiah speaks of corruption in the court system. This was about 2700 years ago and yet we see the same type corruption in our courts today. Why is that?  Because man hasn't changed, and left to his own devices he will not change. But this is simply a symptom from being separated from God, and it's not God who made the separation. There is a principle that with each step man takes from God, he wants to go farther. And the opposite is also true, as a man's heart is turned to God, with each step he takes closer he desires more. It's why as the years go by, the outcry to separate God from all government and public areas gets louder. But as it's written in the beginning of this chapter, God's hand is not shortened, no matter how far a man may go from Him, simply stop and turn and the way back is a single step. It doesn't matter where you are, where you've been, or what your sin, just stop and take one step back and He is there, always.
