July 3 Luke 8:1-18 The gospel is for everyone, let others see the light of Christ

In the first three verses Luke shows us how Jesus reached across all social and economic groups. His disciples were mostly blue collar workers, he traveled through the cities and villages where you'd find the lower classes and in his group of followers was Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's household manager. So the message is going from the king's palace down to the dirt farmer. That's what we're still supposed to do. The gospel message is the same for everyone, we're all sinners needing Christ. If the only people we ever associate with are other Christians then how will the light shine? Make friends with some pagans but don't beat them with the bible. Just let your life be different and they'll see Jesus.
